Description
AOC Archaeology Group was commissioned by Atkins Mouchel Joint Venture (AMJV) to undertake an archaeological geophysical (gradiometer and earth resistance survey) to investigate the potential for buried archaeological remains on the proposed corridor of the Northern section of the A9 Dualling Programme.
The total allocated survey area measured 7.2 hectares, which was split over two areas across five small fields, consisting of a mixture of pasture and moorland scrub. The first area in the southern part of the scheme is located at the Proposed Grade Separated Junction at Tomatin (NH 79778 29806). The second area in the northern part of the scheme is located at the Proposed Left in Left Out Junction at Dalmagarry, Moy (NH 78484 32591). <1>
