Technique(s)

Organisation

Cameron Archaeology

Date

Oct-Nov 2016

Description

A watching brief was carried out over eight days in October and November, 2016 in Areas 1-3 within the Slackbuie development site, Inverness in response to several potential archaeological features identified during the evaluation phase earlier in 2016. While several features were recorded and sampled none were considered archaeological. Three field drains and a large infilled natural hollow were also identified and recorded. No finds of archaeological significance were noted. A further watching brief was required but development commenced without this happening and the archaeological work at this site is therefore complete. <1>
