Description

Archaeological monitoring undertaken at the site of Coire na Cloiche Wind Farm, a development comprising the construction of thirteen new wind turbines and access roads at Strath Rusdale, Alness. Prior to the works, an archaeological survey did not identify any significant archaeology present in the development site. Site visits to monitor progress of works were carried out weekly. A low mound was recorded next to the site compound. It was demarcated by the contractor but not impacted upon by the work. No further archaeological remains were uncovered. Fieldwork was carried out during site visits between June 5th and July 25th 2017. <1>
