A trial trenching evaluation was undertaken by Highland Archaeology Services in 2017 at Croft 355, Nedd to establish the heritage impact of proposed development for new visitor accommodation. Four archaeological evaluation trenches were opened on the site. The trenches were opened in accordance with a Written Scheme of Investigation approved by Highland Council and targeted the footprint of three proposed visitor units and associated car parking. All four evaluation trenches were archaeologically sterile and no significant finds of any kind were identified. <1>
