Technique(s)
Organisation
AOC Archaeology Group
Date
Jan 2018
Description
An archaeological evaluation was carried out by AOC Archaeology in 2018 on land south of the Cairngorm Technology Park, Aviemore, in relation to the construction of a new hospital, health and social care facility and associated infrastructure. The evaluation was required as the proposed development is located in an area with potential for the survival of buried archaeological deposits. Fieldwork was carried out over three days between January 8th and January 11th 2018. There were limitations for ground coverage due to tree and reptile protection zones and nine trenches were excavated across accessible areas of the site. No archaeological finds or features were noted. <1>
