Description

An archaeological watching brief and desk-based assessment were required by Scottish Water in respect to the construction of two new water mains pipelines (Planning Reference CHG7941) on land east and southwest of Dale House, Westerdale, Caithness. The watching brief was carried out in two parts on the 10th -11th July and 31st August to 1st September 2017. Two archaeological features were identified in the trench to the east of Dale House: a field drain and a worked stone slab. <1>
