EHG5348 - Walkover Survey - Diubaig Lodge and Access, Isle of Skye

Technique(s)

Organisation

Argyll Archaeology

Date

March 2019

Description

A walkover survey of the redline planning area and the immediate environs was undertaken; two other adjacent areas were also walked but as these are subject to separate planning permissions the results are reported elsewhere. A single stone and earthen structure was recorded on the line of the proposed new access route. This structure was marked with hazard tape and canes so that it will be avoided and protected during subsequent construction works. The line of the new access has been slightly altered and will be made to the north of structure through previously afforested ground. No other features or structures of archaeological significance were recorded and it is the recommendation of this report that no further archaeological works are required with respect to this current planning permission. <1>
