Description
A desk-based assessment and walkover survey was undertaken by J,G, Robertson in 2016-18 in advance of the Barr Hydro Scheme, Fiunary Forest, Morvern, Lochaber. This was undertaken in dry, mostly sunny conditions on 17th and 20th October 2016. Fifteen archaeological sites were recorded. <1>
Unfortunately, not all the elements of Ard an Tiobairt township could be identified within the dense seasonal vegetation and a further visit was required once this vegetation had died down to ascertain if they were still extant and if they are at risk. This was undertaken in dry, mostly sunny, conditions on 29th August 2018. <2>
