Technique(s)
Organisation
Northlight Heritage
Date
Jan-Feb 2012
Description
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Northlight Heritage in 2012 on the edge of Glenmoriston Borrow Pit, near Invermoriston, where the borrow pit was proposed for expansion as part of the Beauly to Denny 400kV overhead line development programme. Two trenches, totalling 5.5 m², were opened to investigate possible features identified during previous survey phases of the project. No archaeological features or deposits were uncovered and the possible features proved to be remnants of dumped material relating to 20th century quarry working. <1>
