EHG5473 - DBA and walkover survey - proposed housing, Inshes

Technique(s)

Organisation

AOC Archaeology Group

Date

July 2018

Description

A desk based assessment and walkover survey was carried out by AOC Archaeology Group in 2018 on a proposed housing development site at Inshes, Inverness. The walkover survey identified five archaeological sites. Most will not be impacted by the development and those that may be are of limited archaeological value. Mitigation is not proposed for these features. In order to investigate the potential for further remains to survive on the site it was concluded that a programme of archaeological works may be required. The greenfield nature of the site means that any remains that may survive are likely to be well-preserved. <1>
