Date

Description

An archaeological evaluation was carried out by AOC Archaeology Group in 2019 at a residential development site at Inshes, near Drumossie, Inverness. Twenty two trenches were excavated across the site. Six archaeological features were identified, comprising three soil/stone-filled pits, two amorphous burnt deposits and an amorphous linear feature. There was minimal evidence for the date and function of the features and they have been interpreted as remnants of possible vegetation clearance and/or agricultural activities in the area. <1>
