Date

Description

An archaeological watching brief was carried out by AOC Archaeology Group in 2018-19 on land at Inverness Campus and Highlander Way, Inverness, in advance of the construction of a public transport, cyclist and pedestrian bridge and associated infrastructure. The development is situated within an area rich in prehistoric archaeology; therefore, all site clearance and ground-breaking work was subject to an archaeological watching brief. The watching brief was carried out intermittently between 4th December 2018 and 5th April 2019 when topsoil stripping was monitored for trial pits, compound area, haul/access road and the main development site. No archaeological features were found. <1>
