Technique(s)
Organisation
AOC Archaeology Group
Date
Feb-March 2019
Description
An archaeological evaluation was carried out by AOC Archaeology Group in 2019 on land south of Nairn Road, Ardersier, in advance of the construction of 117 houses and associated infrastructure. Eighteen trenches were excavated across the site, sampling an area totalling 3050m², and 8% of the total area available for evaluation. No features of archaeological significance were identified during the evaluation. A large area remained unevaluated due to the presence of unrecorded live water pipes and in this area further archaeological monitoring is recommended. <1>
