Technique(s)
Organisation
AOC Archaeology Group
Date
June 2019
Description
An archaeological metal-detecting survey was carried out by AOC Archaeology Group in 2019 at land to the northeast of Cairnside, Westhill, Inverness in advance of the construction of a shed for agricultural and storage use with associated hardstanding. The metal-detecting survey recovered two metal artefacts. One was an unidentified small piece of possible slag or iron and the other was a small metal washer or ring. Both were considered modern detritus and no further analysis was recommended. A watching brief was also carried out (see EHG5497). No further archaeological works were recommended. <1>
