Description

An archaeological earthwork survey ahead of dualling works along the existing A9 trunk road between Glen Garry to Dalwhinnie, Dalwhinnie to Crubenmore and Crubenmore to Kincraig, was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group in 2020 on behalf of CH2M Fairhurst Joint Venture (CFJM), on behalf of Transport Scotland. Nine assets along a 37km stretch of the existing A9 between Dalnaspidal and Lynchat were recorded. All of these sites relate to post-medieval activity, land division, water management, cultivation and shieling settlement. <1>
