An archaeological survey of a proposed plantation at An Ruadh Bruiach, Glenshieldaig to form part of an Enviornmental Assessment was commissioned by Scottish Woodlands, on behalf of Kinlochdamph Estate. This involved an initial deskbound survey of all known reference material including the earlier OS map series and the Sites & Monuments Reocrd held by Highland Regional Council in Clachnaharry Schoolhouse. This was followed by a field visit to look for sites on the ground. This was carried out on the 3rd November 1995 in clear, cold sunny conditions. The whole area was walked with particular attention being paid to grassy flushes beside the burns and lochans. <1>
