EHG5528 - Watching brief - Balblair Quarry, Beauly

An archaeological watching brief was carried out by AOC Archaeology Group in 2021 at Balblair Quarry, Beauly iduring topsoil stripping in advance of quarry expansion. The watching brief identified three features of limited archaeological significance. Two of the features were likely related to prehistoric vegetation clearance. The third feature, a clearance cairn, was similar to other cairns investigated during previous archaeological works at the quarry although there was no indication of a possible date for the feature No further work is recommended. <1>
