Description
Trial trenching was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group in 2018 on land between the MacKinnon Memorial Hospital and the Broadford Medical Centre on the east side of High Road / An Rathad Ard, Broadford, Isle of Skye in relation to the construction of a new community hospital. The evaluation was required as part of a planning requirement as the site is situated within an area of known archaeology. Eleven trenches were excavated across the site but no archaeological features other than stone-filled field drains were uncovered.<1>
