Technique(s)

Date

March 2019

Description

A walkover survey was undertaken in 2019 by Highland Archaeology Services on behalf of Bell Ingram LLP in advance of the installation of a new access track at Loch Badanloch, Kinbrace, Sutherland. The survey was designed to identify and record all visible heritage assets that may be affected by the proposed development and thereby avoid or minimise the damage to such by design. The survey did not identify any definite or possible heritage assets within 50m of the route of the proposed track, as marked on the ground. Historic mapping shows an undated sheep fold some 100m from the line of the proposed track, which should be avoided in the event that the route of development is altered. <1>
