Description
An archaeological trial trenching evaluation was conducted by CFA Archaeology in 2018 at Shepherd's Cottage on the Hope Estate, Sutherland, in advance of development. Fourteen trenches were excavated with a total of 289m². Five pits or post holes were recorded close to a probable hut circle (NC46SE 7) which lies just outside the area proposed for development. No finds were recovered. A brief GPS survey of the probable hut circle was also conducted. <1>
