Description

A desk based assessement and walkover survey was carried out by AB Heritage in 2015 in advance of proposals for the dualling of the A9 between Glen Garry and Dalraddy by Transport Scotland. The proposed route was subsequently split into three project areas (referred to as Projects 7, 8 and 9) and the results of the walkover survey informed an Environmental Assessment for each. Only part of the Project 7 area (Glen Garry to Dalwhinnie) was within the Highland Council boundary. The study area for the survey extended 50 m either side of the proposed route options, and covered the entire c 47 km length. <1> <2> <3>
