Description

An excavation was carried out by S Farrell in 2000 at Achnahaird Sands, in order to record the buildings on the site which were subject to heavy erosion pressure. Two buildings and their environs were recorded (labelled building no.s 1 and 2). <1> The excavation assemblage was submitted to Treasure Trove (TT 89/06) and allocated to Inverness Museum. <2> A final report on the excavations at the site in 2000 was published in 2020 and is available online.
