Organisation

Date

May 2021

Description

An archaeological metal-detecting survey was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group in 2021 along a 100m stretch of disused forest track in Culloden Wood, Culloden Moor, near Inverness prior to the creation of a new access track, turning circle, and site compound. The requirement arose due to the location of the track within the Inventory Battlefield area for the Battle of Culloden. The survey recovered numerous objects of modern detritus, which were all discarded. No significant finds were recovered. <1>
