Description
A trial trenching evaluation was carried out by AOC Archaeology Group in 2019 at a residential development site on land west of Kinellan Drive, Strathpeffer. The evaluation was required because there was potential for buried archaeological remains to be present on the site. Sixteen trenches were excavated, but no archaeological features were present. Numerous field drains were present across the site, indicating previous agricultural activity. No further archaeological work is recommended. <1>
