Description
An archaeological watching brief was carried out by AOC Archaeology Group intermittently in 2019-20 on land south of Nairn Road, Ardersier, in advance of the construction of 117 houses and associated infrastructure. The watching brief was required as a result of recommendations made during a previous phase of archaeological work wherein a large area of the development could not be evaluated due to the presence of unknown services (see EHG5486). Fieldwork was carried out intermittently between the 13th December 2019 to the 21st January 2020. No features of archaeological significance were identified during the watching brief. No further archaeological work is recommended. <1>
