The fieldwork included monitoring during topsoil stripping, down to natural of the full site area and excavation of a service trench leading from the site through forestry to an access road in the south. During the watching brief five features relating to the modern or late post-medieval periods were uncovered. These consisted of a modern GI test pit, a modern/late post-medieval forestry ditch, remains of a modern track/road, a modern fire pit and a modern drystone boundary wall. The features uncovered relate to the modern/late post-medieval period and were recorded through survey and photographic record. No further archaeological fieldwork or analysis is recommended. <1>
