Technique(s)

Organisation

AOC Archaeology Group

Date

Jan 2022

Description

An archaeological metal detecting survey was carried out by AOC Archaeology Group in 2022 ahead of a proposed small housing development at Feabuie, Culloden, Inverness. An area 3,053 m² total was surveyed. The archaeological metal detector survey revealed no clearly diagnostic objects that would relate to the Battle of Culloden, or the C18 more generally. The site has clearly seen significant disturbance in the relatively recent past and continues to be used for stockpiling manure. <1>
