Description
A trial trenching evaluation was carried out by GUARD Archaeology Limited in 2020 in advance of a proposed housing development on farmland at Home Farm near Portree on the Isle of Skye. A total of 15 trenches measured 50.0 m in length, one 44 m in length, all 2.0 m in width, which amounted to 1,588m²; equivalent to 7% of the available part of the development area. The work revealed three undated features, including one linear feature and two possible pits. No finds were encountered. <1>
