EHG5772 - Trial trenching - Campbells' Farm, Broadford, Skye

An archaeological trial trenching evaluation was undertaken by GUARD Archaeology Limited in 2020 in support of a proposed development at Campbell’s Farm, Broadford, Isle of Skye. The fieldwork consisted of a trial trench evaluation amounting to 2,250m², or approximately 7% of the 32,086m² development area. Twenty-three trenches were excavated. Twenty-two measured 50m long by 2m wide, and one measured 25m long by 2m wide. No archaeological features or material culture was uncovered in any of the trenches. A preserved field bank system was spotted and recorded along the edge of Phase 4B area. <1>
