Description
An archaeological trial trenching evaluation was undertaken by Stuart Farrell in 2021 of land at Mid Lairgs Quarry, Daviot as part of a project for an extension to the existing quarry. Work revealed no archaeological features or deposits, with the west side of an improved field heavily disturbed by ploughing, and the centre consisted of the site of a ridge of dense gravel. No recommendations for further archaeological work were proposed. <1>
