Organisation

AOC Archaeology Group

Date

Oct 2021

Description

An archaeological watching brief was carried out by AOC Archaeology Group in 2021 on land at Fox Hollow, Ardersier prior to the erection of a replacement extension to the existing house. The requirement for archaeological works arose due to the development lying immediately adjacent to a Scheduled Monument, Cromal Mount (SM2823). An area measuring 3m by 5m was stripped to the natural subsoil and other than a thin deposit of modern 20th to 21st century refuse, no archaeological features were uncovered. <1>
