Description
A watching brief was undertaken by Highland Archaeology Services in 2021 covering work during installation of 6 temporary modular units and ancillary infrastructure at Culloden Academy, Highland. The work was undertaken to fulfil a planning condition put in place due to the site being within the designated battlefield of Culloden fought in 1746. No archaeological features were recorded during the watching brief although 10 modern drains were noted. These are of no archaeological value. No further work is recommended for this site. <1>
