Description
A trial trenching evaluation was conducted by CFA Archaeology in 2022 prior to the erection of a grid stability facility with ancillary works including landscaping, parking, grid connection, drainage, and boundary enclosures at Thurso South Sub Station, Geiselittle, Thurso. Fifty trenches were excavated with a total area of 4500m². A series of agricultural ditches were recorded that align with field boundaries on the First Edition OS Map. Three isolated features were identified across the site that are most likely representative of stone-holes. <1>
