EHG5967 - Desk-based assessment -proposed Loch Pattack weir scheme

Technique(s)

Organisation

Catherine Dagg

Date

2021

Description

A desk-based assessment by C Dagg and supplemented by site visits by ASH Design and Assessment were undertaken in 2021 to assess the potential impact on cultural heritage assets of the construction of a weir on the River Pattack on the Ardverikie Estate in Inverness-shire, with associated seasonally fluctuating water levels upstream and of Loch Pattack. The evaluation took into account the requirements for improved access, laydown areas and borrow pits. The conclusion of this assessment was that the potential impacts of the construction and operation of the proposed development on cultural heritage assets would be negligible and no mitigation was recommended. <1>
