EHG6017 - Photographic survey - Aldernaig Mill, Invergarry

A photographic survey was undertaken by Highland Archaeology Services in 2023 in advance of the construction of an extension to the north east side of grade C Listed Building, Aldernaig Mill, Invergarry. The fieldwork was designed to identify and record archaeological remains that may be disturbed by the proposed development, particularly those that may pertain to the historic use of the building as a grain mill. The survey, conducted on the 23rd of January, comprised of a basic photographic survey highlighting original surviving details of the mill's exterior. <1> An trial trench evaluation was conducted later (see EHG6018).
