Description
A targeted walkover survey was carried out by SLR Consulting in 2021 in advance of proposals for the development of the Bettyhill 2 Wind Farm and to inform an Environmental Impact Assessment. The turbine locations were inspected to confirm the absence of any unknown above-ground archaeological remains. Known heritage assets within the site boundary were also inspected to confirm their presence and location. Weather conditions were fair on the day of survey. Ground conditions were predominantly those of upland moorland with significant areas of peat bog. All assets recorded on the HER within the site were inspected. There were no new or unknown heritage assets recorded within the site and all assets were located and as described in the HER. <1>
