EHG6032 - Watching brief - housing development, Block 20/21, Tornagrain

An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group in 2023 at Tornagrain, Croy, Inverness-Shire as part of a planning condition for a proposed housing development. The development area is located adjacent to an existing housing development. The watching brief area comprised an area located to the northeast of existing houses. No archaeological features or significant finds were identified during monitoring. Site stratigraphy consisted of plough zone atop natural subsoil. Due to the absence of archaeological features, no further archaeological monitoring is recommended within this area. <1>
