Date

Description

An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group in 2023 at Wester Torbreck, Inverness during site clearance and excavation works in advance of the propsed constrcution of a new house. The development area was approximately 690 m² in total. The site was seen to have been extensively terraced, which had removed over a metre of material at the northern end of the site and circa 0.3 m towards the southern end. This meant the area monitored was relatively undisturbed. No significant archaeological features and/or deposits were encountered. As such, no further archaeological work was proposed in relation to the development area. <1>
