Description

An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group in 2023 at Croft 218, Tulloch, Bonar Bridge, as part of planning condition for the construction of a new house and associated infrastructure. The Site is located beside a minor, single-track road on high ground above Bonar Bridge, circa 1.6km north-northeast of the village. The watching brief area comprised rough moorland either side of the existing hardcore track. The track and associated platform had been previously constructed to access/contain a previously erected timber structure within the site. Monitoring also took place during the removal of the track and made ground associated with the building platform. No archaeological features or significant finds were identified during monitoring. <1>
