Organisation

AOC Archaeology Group

Date

Nov 2023

Description

An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group in 2023 during groundworks for the construction of two new maturation warehouses at Tomatin Distillery, Tomatin, near Inverness. The requirement arose as a desk-based assessment (DBA) of the development site and a phase of archaeological evaluation indicated both prehistoric and post-medieval remains in the wider area. No archaeological features and/or deposits were present. No further archaeological mitigation was recommended with respect to the development. <1>
