Description
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group in 2024 as a condition of planning consent in advance of the construction of a new recreational hut near Mellon Udrigle campsite, Slaggan Road, Achgarve. During the fieldwork, topsoil stripping for the new building footprint was monitored as well as an inspection pit for the access track and a pit for the septic tank. No archaeological features were observed. A cobble drain running nothwest-southeast was present in the northeast corner of the site. <1>
