Technique(s)

Organisation

Catherine Dagg

Date

Sept 2013

Description

A trial trench was excavated by members of the Applecross Archaeological Training Project Group under the direction of C Dagg in 2013 across an abandoned building in Torgarve, Applecross. The building had been identified in a previous survey and was suggested for investigation as it displayed what was thought to be the bowed walls of a Norse building. Upon investigation it proved to be of C19 century date with the bowed walls the result of tree root action. <1>
