Description

An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group in 2024 as a condition of planning consent in advance of the construction of a new house and studio at Coulnacoyle Croft, Tullich, Invergordon. The watching brief was carried out during topsoil removal by machine in preparation for construction. An irregularly shaped area, measuring c.32m by 22m across, was excavated for the building footprint. A narrow trench on the northeast side was also excavated for associated services. No archaeological features or deposits were identified. As a result, no further archaeological mitigation was recommended in relation to this development. <1>
