Description

An trial trenching evaluation was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group in 2024 ahead of a residential development at Easterfield Farm, Inverness. Forty-four trenches, totalling 4,540m², were excavated across the site. Evidence for recent agricultural practices and land improvement was recorded in the form of rubble field drains, one modern pit feature, and occasional plough marks. No significant archaeological features or deposits were identified, and no further archaeological work was recommended. <1>
