EHG6259 - Walkover survey - proposed mechanical workshop, North Ballachulish

An archaeological walkover survey was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group in 2024 prior to the erection of a mechanical workshop at North Ballachulish Industrial Estate, Old Ferry Road, North Ballachulish. The survey was required in order to assess and record the nature and extent of any upstanding archaeology affected by the proposed development. There were fifteen previously known sites within the wider survey boundary, including two Scheduled Monuments. The archaeological walkover survey was conducted on 6th June 2024. A total of 17 sites were recorded outwith the development area, including cairns, cists and post-medieval shoreline structures. No features were identified within the development area. <1>
