Description

An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by GUARD Archaeology in 2018 in connection with the Dounreay 220kV Proposed Cable Route and Substation Ground Investigation Works to the west side of Lower Dounreay, 16km west of Thurso in Caithness. A total of thirty-nine trial pits, six boreholes and one soak away were monitored during the course of the SI works. No archaeological features, deposits or artefacts were uncovered. <1>
