Technique(s)
Organisation

Date
March 2023
Description
A historic environment assessment was undertaken by Clyde Archaeology in 2023 in advance of a proposed extension to the north of the Victoria Diamond Jubilee Hall, Evanton, Highland. The aims of the assessment were to: define the historic environment baseline for the proposed extension area; assess the current condition, character and extent of both previously identified and new sites that form part of the historic environment within the proposed extension area; determine whether any parts of the proposed extension area had the potential to hold buried archaeological remains; recommend measures that could be put in place to minimise disturbance to the historic environment during future works. <1>
