EHG6287 - DBA and walkover survey - proposed forestry, West and East Blocks, Glenmoriston Estate

An archaeological desk-based assessment and walkover survey were carried out by West Coast Archaeological Services in 2024 on two blocks of land located to the north of Bhlaraidh, on the Glenmoriston Estate, Glenmoriston, in advance of proposed woodland creation schemes. Located above the upper limits of the main settlement zone, the survey recorded 3 turf and stone boundary dykes. Archaeological sites located outside the southwest boundary of the East Block survey area were not recorded, but the groups of structures have been assigned protective buffer zones as a part of general mitigation measures. <1>
