Technique(s)
Organisation
AOC Archaeology Group
Date
Oct 2020
Description
An archaeological walkover survey was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group in 2020 at Corrimony Wind Farm to inform an Environmental Impact Assessment in advance of a proposed wind farm extension. The survey was required in order to assess and record the nature and extent of any upstanding archaeology affected by the proposed development. During the walkover survey three archaeological sites were recorded, comprising the remains of post-medieval structures, a hunting lodge and a post-medieval dam or causeway. Buffer zones around the sites were recommended to avoid any impact or damage to the sites. <1> <2>
