Description

An archaeological desk-based assessment and walkover survey were carried out by West Coast Archaeologiocal Sevices in 2025 in advance of a proposed woodland creation scheme focused on Glen Eynort, on the island of Skye. The walkover survey identified and recorded a total of 12 archaeological sites, comprising a number of individual features and structures focused on the townships of Cnoc Loisgte and Lechd a’ Cheirich, along with stone and turf dykes forming field systems, field clearance cairns, and areas of rig and furrow cultivation; all of which are probably post-medieval in date. <1>
